A few tips:
  • If you have a medical problem with your guinea pig please take it straight to the vet. You may want to refer to the Healthcheck page and the Healths Links page for more info whilst you are waiting for your appointment - I will not advise on health issues apart from to say please take your pig to the vet asap !
  • If you have a query regarding guinea pig care eg feeding/housing/behaviour/handling etc please refer to the relevant sections on the site - all sections are listed on the Contents page. If it is something explained on the site then my reply may be simply to refer you to the relevant page if I am pushed for time.
  • You may also want to check out the FAQ #1 and FAQ #2 / Facts & Figures pages as they may hold the answer [link is on Contents page].
  • There is a search facility at the bottom of the Contents page - please use this to find relevant pages on the site.
  • There are lots of Guinea Pig themed Forums and Message boards - refer to this Links page - you can post queries and other members can respond so you gets lots of different ideas and opinions - most are full of really interesting threads to read through and it's a great way to meet like-minded guinea people !
  • Please refer to Diddly-Di's Diary to find out the latest updates / what's new / what's coming - we have been keeping this diary since we started the site in the year 2000 - all page since time began are listed on the Diary Menu page.
  • We do not have a forum or guestbook on the site but we do like to hear your views - anything that can help make the site more enjoyable or useful or if you see a glaring omission we've not put on here - we'd love to hear, thankyou - your time is very much appreciated !

About this site...

Diddly-Di's Piggy Pages was born in October in the Year 2000 - It is devoted to my lovely guinea pigs - pictures of them and how I care for them. It is my hope that other people will enjoy sharing my pigs with me and that the information provided within these pages will help other pigs live long, loved and happy lives. You can see how the site evolved by reading the Diary - we have kept this since the site began - you can start at the bottom of the Diary Menu and work up through the dates [using your browser 'back' button to go back to the Menu] or start at the Current Diary and work your way down following the 'Next' links at the bottom of each page.

Navigating this site - [I've tried to make it as simple as possible !]
  • All pages open in the same window so you don't end up with pages and pages open clogging up your screen !
  • Our Homepage has a link to the main Contents page.
  • From the Contents page you can see direct links to each section of the site - you may click on the headings to go to the relevant page.
  • In the main Contents table you will notice that each section is headed by a subject Menu heading - if you click on this it will take you to the relevant subject Menu listing the pages within that section. However, all topics are listed on the main Contents table.
  • At the bottom of each page you will find a long thin table listing either: the other Menu pages if you currently viewing a Menu page - or: the other pages in the relevant section if you are in particular page within a section.
  • At the bottom of each page you will find a link back to the Homepage and the Contents page.
  • At the bottom right hand corner of each page you will see 'Next >' - this page will take you to the next page in the section - each section is linked together page by page so you can basically start at the top of the site ie the MeetPigs Menu and scroll your way through the whole site [if I've linked them up correctly !].
  • In the really bottom right-hand corner you will notice a date indicating when that particular page was updated.
  • Don't forget we list links of interest in the banner at the top of the Contents page and all updates are listed on the Diary page so you can check out the new updates - this Diary page is the first point of call for many visitors so they can quickly see what we've been up to !

I really hope you enjoy your visit here - we'd love it if you bookmarked us and popped back to see how we're doing - It's not full of technical wizardry - as I am limited in my website design knowledge but I hope it is 'easy on the eye' - I've picked colours I like - fairly bright, colourful but not patterened or flashing or anything to wear your eyes out - and I try to keep the photos small for speed of the pages loading. Through this site and my visits to other sites I've made many wonderful friendships that I've retained for years, even my pigs have some piggy friends ! I've also been a Moderator and Administrator at a large Cavy Forum during my time on the Cavy Information Super Highway !

Please do not 'borrow' animations or drawings from this site - the majority of them were drawn or created for us especially - by our various piggy friends - as gifts. They feature piggies we have had over the years - and we treasure them. Thankyou.
