Which is Billy....
and which is the pumpkin ???
So far this month whee have...
- Finally updated Splatties
page !!!
- I'm heartbroken to say that dear Trixie
passed away very suddenly on Tuesday 15th November 2005. It looks most likely
that she initially suffered a stroke. As soon as I saw her it was obvious
something was very wrong, I picked her up and it became clear there was no
time to do anything to help her other than cuddle her close and tell her how
much she was loved. She suffered a few fits and then passed peacefully away.
Trixie was a pig in a million, her little poofy cheeks and gormless expressions
won her many friends and I know she will be, [and is] very truly missed. Billy
is especially missing her eye washes, to which she treated him daily. Sleep
tight my beautiful Trixie-Belle.xxxxxxx

September 2005

So far this month whee have...
- I am very sorry to say that our dear
little Poppy passed away very suddenly and
unexpectedly on Tuesday 6th September 2005. She was 100% fine up until then,
being her lively, inquisitive and playful self, she had given no indication
that anything was troubling her. She ate her morning veggies with her usual
gusto and seemed absolutely fine. When her evening veggies were taken in she
was lying on her side, gone. We can only hope that this means it was sudden
and that she didn't suffer. She was aged 5 years and 5 months - with no signs
of slowing down at all. She had a dignified farewell and has been laid to
rest, with a little flower, near the other Wheekies of the past.
- Poppy will be missed by us all, she
settled in so happily with Trixie, Splat and Billy, she really was 100% part
of the herd and they all got along wonderfully. She had a beautiful personality,
cheeky, lively and with her nose into everything. When I cleaned out their
pen she would constantly come over and climb over my knees trying to get back
in to see what I was up to. We even used to nickname her 'stalkerpig' as when
she was out on floortime she was always following us, or sniffing our feet
whilst we sat on the settee. She always stuck her nose in the air for a tickle,
which she especially loved behind her ears. She was extremely enthusiastic
with her food and immediately caught on to the piggies nightly slice of cucumber
as a treat and bobbed up and down in anticipation ! Sleep tight 'little one',
we all loved having you here, we'll keep your place warm xxxx
